Development of a purpose-built laneway housing a range of eateries within a village style setting. Retailers include 5 Boroughs Manhattan inspired street-food, Stellarossa café, Neighbourhood Market fresh foods and produce, Corbett and Claude Italian, Tetto Rooftop Bar and Comuna Cantina Mexican. The offering and variety of restaurants, as well as the overall village concept is a major drawcard for residents within the northern suburbs. The development provides high-quality choices within a vibrant atmosphere, without the need to travel closer to the CBD. In conjunction to the above, a new proposal has been submitted for a three-storey commercial building to further complement the mixed offering and increase employment opportunities for locals. The proposal will include another restaurant at ground level to expand on the dining village.
$31 million (Stage 1) Stage 1 of the proposal is now under construction and is designed to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion at the intersection of Stafford Road and South Pine Road. This will include a new link road and dedicated on and off-road bicycle lanes. Building with medical centre, pharmacy, café. The childcare portion of the proposal has completed, with doors opening in mid-2020 for 112 children.
$140 million. Ferny Grove train station is set to transform, with a large transit-oriented development proposed for the area immediately surrounding the station. The development is set to enhance the local amenity and connectivity for nearby residents with a full line supermarket, cinema, child care, food and beverage offering, medical centre and gym.
$770 million. The Enoggera Barracks is a significant army base within South East Queensland. After undergoing an expansion in 2014, the base now has approximately 5,600 regular personnel, making it one of the largest army bases in Australia. Currently the barracks is undergoing a $2 million upgrade to the close training area to further support troops.
